RESPECT
We consider it a privilege to be working in your home or place of business. From the moment we greet you and begin our work, you may begin to relax, knowing you are in good hands with our very competent crew of professional painters. Room Ninjas™ respects not only your personal possessions and home, but also your time. We understand the process of painting can be inconvenient until it is completed. Understanding this, we will work hard to ensure we meet our deadline so you can get back to, 'life as normal'.
PREP
We will work quickly to begin covering your floors with drop cloths, your furniture with protective plastic, and begin removing outlet covers, and any hinderances to the paint project. We will then begin taping off painting areas where necessary, spackle and fill imperfections on walls, holes, nail pops, and any other areas of concern. We ask that you remove all picture frames or other personal items off the walls and into another area of the home prior to painting to ensure safe keeping.
PAINT CHOICES & DELIVERY
We will handle all paint purchase including the pickup and delivery of paint and supplies. We prefer to have your color choices confirmed several days prior to beginning your project, but normally we do not purchase paint until the day before, or the day your paint project begins. This way, if you have a last minute change of heart over a color, we can adjust accordingly. We prefer to use Sherwin-Williams® brand paints, such as SuperPaint®, Cashmere®, or Duration® paints. We believe exceptional paint jobs require exceptional paint. Consider choosing the higher brands if you plan to live in your home for an extended period of time. A helpful tool in choosing colors is to download the Sherwin-Williams® Visualizer® app. It can reveal what your colors will look like on the walls before you choose to paint them. Ahh.. the wonders of modern technology!
Regarding paint choices we need three things:
1) Paint color and its number, such as SW7029 Agreeable Gray.
2) The sheen of your paint. Examples include: Low-Luster, Satin, or Eggshell, Semi-Gloss, or High-Gloss.
3) The brand or choice of paint and which rooms you desire them painted in.
Once you have finalized your colors by both paint brand and type you can go over to MY COLOR SELECTIONS on the drop down menu under the contact page or click on this link and submit your choices.

COLOR AREAS
If you are choosing a variety of different colors for your home or business it is helpful if you can mark the rooms with your color choices using painters tape on the walls, before your project commences. This eliminates any confusion and helps to ensure our painters use the right colors for each area. This is also helpful if you are desiring an accent wall. If you are attempting to match a former or existing color and can't seem to find it, not to worry. We can digitally match your paint right off the wall. If you need us to match an existing sample we will need the color name and number of the old can of paint. If the label is unreadable make sure to shake up the paint first then put a small swatch on a piece of cardboard or some other card stock. It must be the size of a quarter or larger for it to work. We can take that sample and have it matched for your convenience.
PAINTING
Painting commences once all the above conditions have been met. If you are desiring all ceilings, walls, and trim to be painted we normally start with trim. We prefer to spray it, which gives a much sharper look, but we can also paint your trim by hand using a self leveling paint that looks just as good. We then tackle ceilings, which we roll, and finally cut in and roll walls top to bottom for a beautiful seamless treatment.
CABINETS
If you are having your cabinets painted that process typically takes 3-4 days from start to finish, depending upon how many cabinets you have, plus any unattached island. We prep the designated painting areas with masking paper, plastic, and sensitive painters tape to ensure protection of your appliances, floors, etc. We then begin removal of the cabinet hardware and doors for sanding, priming, and final top coat painting. Expect your cabinet doors to be painted both inside and out, including the outer trim, but not inside the cabinets, unless you have exposed glass cabinets, in which case we will paint the interior of those doors.
We typically paint onsite by either sealing off your kitchen, creating a plastic booth to conceal dust, and ventilating outside. We can also work outside depending on the weather, or if possible utilizing your garage, which would be sealed off and protected. We do not roll cabinets, (unless you specifically ask us to). We prefer to spray all our cabinetry doors using a high volume, low-pressure [HVLP] sprayer. (Think of it as high-end airbrush). The HVLP is the gold standard for achieving a flawless finish.
CABINETS COMPLETION
Please note* When your paint project is completed, please ensure all cabinet doors are not touched by hand for at least 30 days, and are only opened by touching the hardware itself. Any jewelry, rings, etc., have the potential to scrape or scratch off the finished coat even after the paint is dry. If the final coat has been compromised in any way, it is very difficult to achieve the original topcoat look and feel. Paint needs time to bond and cure to the wood. Any paint, [even the best brands on the market] have the potential to chip or peel after the final coat is applied. So please ensure you take great care with your completed cabinetry.
CLEAN UP
When your paint job is complete, we will pull up all tape, drop cloths, masking paper, plastic, etc., and dispose. We then sweep and or mop, if necessary, and replace all electrical outlets. We will leave you with all unused paint for any future projects or touch ups. Our rule of thumb is to try and leave a residence or business in better shape than when we arrived. We trust it will sparkle!
WALK THROUGH
Our Project Manager, Team Lead, or Owner will carefully walk through your residence or business and inspect everything ensuring there are no missed spots. We will then do a final walk through with you, our valued customer, ensuring you are very satisfied with your project and consider the job complete. At this time, we will ask for final payment and we will be on our way.
